HOW TO USE MOST CARBON RUBBER PADS:

Question: Should rubber electrode pads be used with double-sided gel pads?

Permanent rubber pads can function without it, but using a double-sided gel pad will give adherence to the skin. Electrodes used without the gel pad must be held or taped to the skin's surface. Using a strap or elastic band is one way of holding the rubber pad to the skin.

Permanent Rubber pads use rubber carbon conductivity. The advantages of rubber pads are that they are permanent (can be used thousands of times for many years), and that they are more flexible or forgiving in terms of pin size because of rubber's stretching ability. They can be used with double-sided gel pads for adhesion, or else taped or held to the skin.
The Conductive Silicone Rubber Electrode  is without adhesive ability because of its foam rubber surface, and must be held or taped to the skin's surface.
